In honor of the Odontoglossum luteopurpureum Lindl orchid, the flagship symbol of the city of Bogotá.
It was considered important to highlight this orchid, characteristic of the hills adjacent to the Bogotá savanna, so that it is especially protected since it is in danger of extinction.
